Rescue Days

Reserve your girls today!
Minimum donation required is £5 per hen. This donation covers our costs to rescue the hens.
  • Minimum 3 hens should be adopted unless you’ve adopted from Lucky Hens in the past and have a current flock
  • You can adopt a maximum of 20 hens at any one time
  • No hens must be 'passed on' without informing us first! This is a DEFRA requirement

What happens on Rescue Day?
You will be given a collection time via email for your hens. You should bring a suitable carrier with ventilation and straw to stop the girls slipping, we can also provide straw for a small fee if needed. Please pay for your hens and any items from our shop by cash only.

Please come at your collection time as we have large numbers to manage on the day. You should also let us know if you can't come. This is extremely important as we may be able to rehome your hens to someone else if we are given notice.
You can also purchase from the Lucky Hens shop on Rescue Day;
